Welcome
Thank you for visiting our fantastic website and I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Offley Endowed Primary School and Nursery, a small village church school serving the villages of Offley, Lilley and surrounding areas. Our school is set in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside just a little way from Hitchin. Our school motto is to ‘Be all you can be’ and as a school we believe passionately in supporting our children to develop all of their skills - not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well, within the context of an inclusive Christian community. Our ethos is based on faith in action which reflects our Christian faith and actively promotes our vision that all people are welcome. Our school values reflect the teachings of Jesus, as well as providing a solid foundation for the children’s future lives. Our children and their families come from a range of cultures, backgrounds and faiths; we celebrate this diversity and this means that we are committed to providing the children with a broad and balanced curriculum which provides the very highest standards of teaching and learning both inside and outside of the classroom including sports training, musical events and outdoor learning.
We value each child as having individual abilities, gifts and needs and encourage all of our pupils to reach their full potential academically, personally and socially. Our pupils are extremely well behaved, polite and care for each other and their environment and our school is full of happy pupils inspired by the challenges we provide for them.
We have an active Parent fundraising group, known as OSA, (Offley School Association) who meet regularly to arrange events throughout the school year. Their efforts and activities raise a considerable amount of money that go towards making our school environment a special place. Recent funds have been spent on a lighting rig in the hall, new dictionaries and reading books for our younger children.
On these web pages you will be able to get to know a little more about our friendly school, but the best way to get to know us is to come and see us. Visits to the school are always welcome, our office staff will be pleased to organise an appointment for you. We look forward to seeing you soon.
